Here's a record from 1959 featuring two very prominent opera stars of the time. Rosalind Elias was a mezzo-soprano and Giorgio Tozzi was a bass-baritone singing at the Metropolitan Opera at the time of this recording. Both went on to further professional success as well. I guess I should not refer to them in the past tense. Rosalind was still performing as of last year and Giorgio is Professor Emeritus of Voice at Indiana University.

That exact same picture is on an LP I have in my bag here to scan today! But it's a various artists comp on RCA from 1961 called Christmas Favorites for Acme Markets. No sign of any opera on this one though.
Now this is getting funny! First the same record for National Tea and Acme over at your blog.
Now, believe it or not, I also have a record with this same cover that I was going to share that is a compilation of RCA artists that was put out by Jewel Food Stores called "Songs for Christmas - The Old, The New". I wonder if its the same music?
Hmmm, I think I have that one, but it didn't have a record in the sleeve. Does it have the same cover, too. This is why we need a wiki! :)
Yup, same cover. I guess that makes three.
Does this record say who the arranger is? I would appreciate any information you have. Thanks!
Thanks !!
