This is such a great record that I feel guilty sharing it out now instead of at Christmas time. Glenn Miller never made a Christmas album and that's a shame. So a bunch of the old Glenn Miller alumni got together to right that wrong. The results are good. The skill of all participants comes through and while paying homage to Glenn, they are not limited by having to deliver "the Glenn Miller sound".
Don't confuse this offering with either of the In The Christmas Mood CDs that were released later by the Glenn Miller Orchestra. These featured Christmas songs that were twisted to sound like the old Glenn Miller standards. Nice, but kinda in your face.

Thank you so much for this!
This album was one of my grandparents favorites. My grandmother has passed on, but my grandfather will really love this. He's in the process of learning now how to operate his cd/radio player. this will be great for him.
Happy Christmas in July!!

Princess, you are quite welcome. Thanks for sharing your story. I hope the CD brings a smile to your grandfather's face.
I also want to add that I enjoy your other posts as well. I'm not always the best to comment and say thanks as I should but you, ernie, and of course the King of Jing A Ling are all fabulous for your shares. I know, understand and appreciate the time and effort it takes.
So... THANKS!
Have A Magical Day!

Yeah, I wish Glenn Miller had released an actual Christmas record. You'd think that out of all his Christmas radio broadcasts they could put something nice together, but I guess it just ain't gonna happen. Thanks for the share!
Ernie,
There was a CD on Laserlight called "A Christmas Concert" that came out some years back. It was an old radio broadcast - a mixture of Christmas tunes and some non-holiday hits. I remember it was produced by Rod McKuen of all people.
